about

The title of Paolo's third album reflects the reaction to today's political turmoil, news paranoia and unbridled shouting of social media. The music suggests some kind of resistance to all this through a calming introspective solitude.

The song list is a selection from Paolo's vast archive, which by its current state and volume already deserves to be published as an entire anthology. The careful selection process was a kind of challenge to introduce a general tonal integrity when selecting songs from a rather diverse material. It took several months as a process of exchanging ideas between Paolo and the label about the songs, their sequence, duration and subtleties of the mastering. Slowly but surely it evolved to what it is now.

Paolo records his songs in one take without further editing, using only the hardware and field recordings he makes, along with black and white photos, during his many travels. The cover of a limited edition CD and a 10-page Leporello booklet showcases Paolo's photographs, which are chosen to accompany music in harmony.
